Here’s what you will need:
50 x 70cm piece of velvet
1. Fold the ribbon in half and pin to the right side of the velvet as shown. Approximately 14cm from the top edge.
2. Fold right sides of velvet together and sew along the bottom. The folded ribbon should be secured within the seam. (Take care not to catch anymore of the ribbon as you sew)
3. Clip the bottom corners to make a ‘sharper’ finish.
4. Turn to right side and your gift bag is complete. As this is velvet there is no need to finish the top edge. However, pomp poms, trims etc. could be added if you wanted.
