Disabled Access

Lincoln Christmas Market takes place in the historic quarter of Lincoln with some parts on cobbled streets. In area such as the Castle grounds we have tried to make the walkways and public spaces as even as possible, with ramps on to raised areas.

The Christmas Market takes places at the top of Steep Hill, which at its steepest is a 1:7 gradient.

Visitors with registered Assistance Dogs

As the Christmas Market can be very busy, especially at weekends, and may not be a suitable environment for dogs we do not allow dogs at the event except for assistance dogs.

Bus Services from the city centre

A variety of bus services operate from the town centre up to the Christmas Market. Most bus services operate from the bus station which is just opposite the train station. The Walk and Ride service operates from Silver Street up to the market.

Details such as timetables can be found on the local bus services page.

Accessible toilet facilities for disabled people are available on site including at the park and ride site at the Lincolnshire Showground. There is a changing places facility available with the lawn area of the Christmas Market and a permanent changing places toilet is also available at Lincoln Cathedral.

Medical Facilities

There will be medical and welfare facilities on site for all visitors.
